The Riverbank Bruins have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Ripon 48-42. If Riverbank was looking for revenge after losing 67-47 to them when the teams met on Tuesday, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Ripon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Herrin led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Herrin has scored all season. Landon Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
Riverbank's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Ripon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverbank's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. As for Ripon, they will challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Escalon will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak alive.
