Despite the defeat, Northwood had strong showings from Grayson Cox, who rushed for 54 yards and one TD, and Finn Sullivan, who threw for 157 yards and one touchdown.
North Surry had a senior duo take command as Zamarri Sweatman rushed for 105 yards and three scores and Cade Atkins threw for 176 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 passes. Sweatman's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.
Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for North Surry, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
