They strolled past Stone Mountain with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 21-6. This was payback for Midtown, who suffered a 22-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Ethan Ward threw for 79 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Traevan Jones rushed for 40 yards.
Midtown's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Stone Mountain, their loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midtown will take on Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Mountain, they will play host again and welcome Druid Hills, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
