The Northside Vikings will be home for the holidays to greet the St. Martinville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Northside strolled past Carencro with points to spare, taking the game 58-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northside.
Meanwhile, St. Martinville earned a 48-39 win over Cecilia on Thursday. The victory was just what St. Martinville needed coming off of a 66-31 loss in their prior game.
Makharee Narcisse was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Delian Mallery, who scored seven points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Northside pushed their record up to 6-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.67 points. As for St. Martinville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Northside didn't have too much breathing room in their match against St. Martinville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 69-63 victory. Will Northside repeat their success, or does St. Martinville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
