The Clear Fork Colts will head out on the road to face off against the Highland Fighting Scots at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Clear Fork and 15 for Highland.
Last Saturday, Clear Fork took a serious blow against Shelby, falling 91-45. While losing is never fun, Clear Fork can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Shelby is ranked 34th).
Meanwhile, Highland had to suffer through a rough 100-48 loss at the hands of River Valley. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Highland in their matchups with River Valley: they've now lost eight in a row.
Clear Fork's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Highland, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Clear Fork was able to grind out a solid win over Highland in their previous meeting back in January, winning 53-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clear Fork since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
