Mechanicville (N.Y.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 25-13 win over
Corinth (N.Y.).
The Red Raiders put up 12 points in the opening frame. Mechanicville scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown, a passing touchdown and a two-point conversion.
The lead that MHS took on a passing touchdown with under a minute left in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.

Zac Lucia played well. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to five on the year.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 27-0 win for the Red Raiders.
With the win Mechanicville extended its winning streak to four games.
Mechanicville (4-1) goes up against Stillwater in a Section 2 C - North game matchup next week, while Corinth (2-3) locks horns with Hoosick Falls also in a Section 2 C - North game.
