Even though the Skyline Coyotes have not done well against the Westwood Warriors recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Skyline came out on top against Westwood by a score of 59-51. This was payback for Skyline, who suffered a 45-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Skyline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amara Rocha, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rocha has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Takara Rocha, who scored 15 points.
The victory got Skyline back to even at 13-13. As for Westwood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline and Dobson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dobson is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Westwood, Westwood and Red Mountain will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Red Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
