With a playoff game on the line, Valor Christian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Saints 73-17 at home. Valor Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Alyssa Mulholland, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Geory LaMark, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Pinecrest Academy beat The King's Academy 47-43 on Tuesday. 47 seems to be a good number for Pinecrest Academy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Valor Christian pushed their record up to 15-7 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.8 points. As for Pinecrest Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Valor Christian against Pinecrest Academy in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the squad secured a 54-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valor Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
