When it comes to explaining why Pymatuning Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jolene Sharpe. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Leah DeMoss was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Grand Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Pymatuning Valley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Valley will take on Cardinal at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cardinal will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 738th, while Grand Valley is ranked 290th). As for Pymatuning Valley, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Badger at 6:15 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Badger focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
