MOUNT OLIVE, Miss. -
Bogue Chitto (Miss.) jumped out to an early lead against Mount Olive (Miss.) and never looked back on the way to a 44-8 victory on Saturday.
In the first quarter, the Bobcats put up 20 points. Bogue Chitto scored on a
Jeremy Blackwell touchdown run, a touchdown run by
Jermaine Blackwell and a
Brock Roberts touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Blackwell in the first quarter, BC led 30-0 at the half.
The Bobcats expanded their lead to 44 points entering the fourth quarter. Bogue Chitto scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Blackwell.
Mount Olive's only touchdown came on a run in the fourth quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 26-6 win for BC.
With the win the Bobcats extended their winning streak to four games.
In a 1A Region 4 game next week Mount Olive (0-2) takes on Dexter, and Bogue Chitto (4-0) will go up against Sacred Heart also in a 1A Region 4 game.
