Julian Arroyo was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds. Demarcus Thompson jr was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Portales' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Artesia.
Lovington's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Portales, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.
