The Christian Life Eagles suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 63-29 defeat at the hands of Harvest Christian Academy. Christian Life lost against Harvest Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-49 score last time.
It was another big night for Alyssa Burke, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Harvest Christian Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Semerau, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Christian Life's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Life will take on Rochelle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Rochelle is ranked 336th, while Christian Life is ranked 327th). As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Larkin at 12:30 p.m. Larkin and Harvest Christian Academy are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
