West Holmes is on  a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Waynedale a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Monday. The West Holmes Knights will welcome the Waynedale Golden Bears  at 5:00  p.m.
Last Friday, West Holmes didn't have quite enough to beat Maysville and fell  9-8.
  ZALINA PROPER was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.  KYLE MILLER also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first  run of the season.
Meanwhile, Waynedale got their first taste of in-conference action  on Saturday and they started things off strong. They walked away with  an   11-7  win over Dalton.
Waynedale got a  massive  performance out of  Madi Miller, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. Miller is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games she's  played.  Carleigh Lynch was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Waynedale  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 14  hits in five consecutive  matchups.
 Waynedale's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for West Holmes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
 West Holmes took their  win against Waynedale  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024 by a conclusive  17-4 score. Do  the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Bears turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
