Willard came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 71-59 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Carl Junction saw an underclassman step up: Brody Pant scored 26 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 44.1% of Carl Junction's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deacon Endicott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Willard pushed their record up to 13-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Carl Junction, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Willard will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Webb City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,031 points over their last 14 contests. As for Carl Junction, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
