The South Central Falcons typically have all the answers at home, but on Monday the Western Alamance Warriors proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 55-48. The victory was nothing new for Western Alamance as they're now sitting on four straight.
Tina Bowers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Cayden White was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooklynne Evans, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Evans has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaidyn Boswell, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Western Alamance's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for South Central, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will square off against Person at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Person will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Western Alamance is ranked 81st). As for South Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game.
