It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Victoria Knights had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 66-20 victory over Dighton. The win was familiar territory for Victoria who now have nine in a row.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryland Price, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Price was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Cramer, who threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns.
Victoria's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Dighton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Victoria will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against South Central at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. South Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Dighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
