Ferguson is a perfect 3-0 against Keys Gate since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Ferguson Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Keys Gate Knights at 3:30 p.m. Ferguson will be strutting in after a victory while Keys Gate will be coming in after a defeat.

Ferguson is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since February 10th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Schoolhouse Prep 8-7.

Alain Marquez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Justin Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Ferguson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Schoolhouse Prep only posted a batting average of .250.

Meanwhile, Keys Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmer Trinity. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Jaime Osorio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

Ferguson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. Keys Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Keys Gate's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ferguson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. It's a different story for Keys Gate, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Ferguson's hitters?

Ferguson was able to grind out a solid victory over Keys Gate in their previous matchup back in March of 2019, winning 4-1. Will Ferguson repeat their success, or does Keys Gate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
