Timber Creek has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cypress Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wolves will face off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Timber Creek lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lake Nona, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Wolves blew past the Lions 14-3 on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on three straight.
Gabbi Scott spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eva Martinez and Lauren Scott did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Lauren went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Scott a new career-high. Katie Jofre-Furno also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Timber Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cypress Creek). They were the clear victors by a 23-5 margin over University on Friday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Britney Freitez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Illiana Bustamante, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
The win got Timber Creek back to even at 7-7. As for Cypress Creek, their record now sits at 12-3.
Everything went Timber Creek's way against Cypress Creek in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Timber Creek made off with a 12-1 victory. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
