4A Region I District 4 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Monterey moved up to 260 from 412 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region I District 4. The Plainsmen were able to make the jump by beating the Plainsmen 35-31.
Plainview made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,231 from 8,007. The advance stemmed from a 34-28 victory over Caprock last week.
Plainview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wes McCutcheon has thrown for 69 yards and one touchdown this season, while Daniel Miller has one catches for 27 yards. Miller leads the league in rushing with 164 yards.
The Bulldogs led the league in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Longhorns.
