4A District 2 recap October 29, 2013
Neville added to the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating Bastrop, 34-32. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
West Ouachita fell to Franklin Parish 32-15 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Rams' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Christian Doaty threw for 323 and 3 touchdowns and Jamari Payne had 144 yards receiving. On the ground Antwon Green contributed 62 yards. Isaiah Graham helped Bastrop's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 110 yards.
He was 25-53 with 1 interception.

Bastrop's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Doaty has thrown for 1,906 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Payne has 62 catches for 937 yards.
Thomas Bachman's team's Payne is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 63 receiving yards against Wossman to hit that benchmark. He has recorded 62 catches for 937 yards this year.
Going into this week's contest against the Wildcats, the Rams' Doaty needs 94 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Bastrop and Wossman face off next week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Mickey Mccarty's team takes on the Chiefs. At the moment, the Tigers are in first, while West Ouachita is in fourth.
Neville led 4A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on the Rams.
