The Tooele Buffaloes will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Hillcrest Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Tooele and 27 for Hillcrest dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Tooele lost to Murray at home by a decisive 61-46 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Josie Kennedy, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Kennedy Searle was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four blocks.
Hillcrest suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Cottonwood 66-14. Hillcrest has not had much luck with Cottonwood recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Tooele has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Hillcrest, they bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Tooele took their win against Hillcrest when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 55-32. Does Tooele have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hillcrest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
