The Clearview Clippers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Norwayne Bobcats. Clearview came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwayne and snuck past 19-16. Winning may never get old, but Clearview sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clearview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keith Colvin, who punched in a rushing score, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. Ethan Lorenzana was another key contributor, throwing for 98 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Clearview's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Norwayne's QB won't forget Isaac Dandrea anytime soon given Dandrea sacked him twice.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Moyer, who rushed for 88 yards on only 12 carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Dylan Smith, who gained 167 total yards.
Clearview's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Norwayne, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 10-2.
Clearview will head out on the road to face off against South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Range will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Norwayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
