The Greyhills Academy Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Grand Canyon by a score of 54-46. That eight points margin sets a new team best for Greyhills Academy this season.
Greyhills Academy can attribute much of their success to Amare Attakai, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Attakai has scored all season. Another player making a difference was DeShawn Begay, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Greyhills Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Grand Canyon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greyhills Academy will take on Round Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grand Canyon won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Seligman at 2:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Seligman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Tuesday.
