After a string of seven wins, Ezekiel Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 72-67 to the Springwood Wildcats. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Ezekiel Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justice Dakwa, who went 6-for-12 en route to 12 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Elijah Taylor was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Kori Key produced another solid performance putting up 33 points for Springwood. The contest was Key's sixth in a row with at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Clarence Moore, who posted 13 points.

Ezekiel Academy suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 7-2. As for Springwood, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Ezekiel Academy will head out to square off against Abbeville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springwood, they will be playing at home against Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mighty Oaks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
