Meanwhile,  Perquimans played a tough  contest  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    59-21 loss at the hands of Holmes. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  39-14.
 Bertie will have to contain  Ataviyon White as he made an impact in Perquimans' last game. He rushed for 61 yards and one  TD.
 Perquimans now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for Bertie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
 Bertie came up short against Perquimans in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, falling  32-26. Thankfully for the Falcons,  Braylon Knapp (who threw for 319 yards and three  touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and one  score) won't be suiting up this time.
