Brody Anderson Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Burlington got the W thanks in part to Brody Anderson playing the best football he has all season. Anderson rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also picked up 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
If the past is any indication, Anderson could be in store for another big game when he takes on Girard on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Anderson saw the Trojans), he picked up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

If history really does repeat itself, Schwarz might just drop another big game when he faces off against Anderson County on Friday. When Schwarz last faced the Bulldogs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.

A Season-Best Performance from Payton Otwell Leads Wellsville over Santa Fe Trail
Wellsville was led to victory by Payton Otwell, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Otwell rushed for 96 yards and three touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Santa Fe Trail had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Otwell it was a similar story. When Otwell last faced the Chargers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Another Prairie View player making an appearance on this list is Josh Goodwin. He rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 51 yards.
For the year, Goodwin has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 88.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns.
