After flying high against the Ray Texans last Friday, The Carroll Tigers came back down to earth. Carroll was beaten by Miller 76-24 on Thursday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carroll in their matchups with Miller: they've now lost five in a row.
Although Carroll took the loss, they still got scores from Robert Muhammad and Gabriel Garcia.
Miller's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Broderick Taylor, who rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Taylor hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Long, who threw for 280 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt.
Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Miller, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Miller will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Martin at 7:00 p.m. Martin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 948th, while Miller is ranked 137th).
