Mitchell hasn't had much luck against Elizabeth recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday.  Mitchell is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They came up short against  James Irwin on Saturday, falling  34-26. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  on Thursday (ten), the Marauders still had to take the loss.
 Mitchell got a big performance out of  MariaReyna Santos, who  scored four  runs while  getting on base  in six of her ten plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aryiana Melvin, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in five of her eight plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Elizabeth entered their tilt with Pueblo East on Wednesday with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Eagles 14-2. Considering the Cardinals have won six matches by more than seven  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Faith Carlson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  hits  she has posted since  back in August. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-3.
 In other batting news, Elizabeth got a  massive  performance out of  Larissa Wesbrook, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs, and a  triple. The last time  Wesbrook's  OBP was this high was  back in August. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Vieyra, who  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Elizabeth, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
 Mitchell might still be hurting after the  17-0 loss they got from Elizabeth  in their previous meeting  back in September of 2022. Can Mitchell avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
