WF West took care of business in their home opener. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by River Ridge 28-27. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose. This was the first game for both teams, giving WF West a 1-0 record and starting River Ridge off at 0-1.
WF West are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Capital next week at 7:00 PM. River Ridge will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Mount Tahoma at 7:00 PM.
