The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by McAllen at home and fell 67-31. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North has not had much luck with McAllen recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Leading McAllen to victory were D'aundre Canada and Mario Villegas. Canada scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Villegas scored 23 points along with five steals. Villegas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Dylan Benavidez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for McAllen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will head out on the road to face off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. McAllen will take on McAllen Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McAllen Memorial is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
