In what's become a running theme this season, the Bishop Manogue Miners gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Carson 88-51 on the road. Bishop Manogue's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bishop Manogue was led to victory by Violet Gordon and Fa'anaetaua Puloka. Gordon scored 18 points along with seven steals, while Puloka scored 27 points along with seven assists and two steals. It was the first time this season that Gordon scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Milasarai Tau, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Carson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lauren Finnerty. Despite the final result, she scored 27 points.
Bishop Manogue pushed their record up to 21-1 with that victory, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
Bishop Manogue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carson, they will head out on the road to take on Douglas at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Douglas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
