The Northview Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Owen Valley on Saturday as Northview made off with a 62-38 victory. Winning may never get old, but Northview sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Northview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagin White, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The game was White's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carlee Schrader, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Owen Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hannah Bixler, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Bixler scored a full 42.1% of Owen Valley's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Smith, who scored eight points.
Northview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Owen Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Northview will challenge Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cascade focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. As for Owen Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clay City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Clay City is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
