The Lewiston-Porter Lancers will head out to face off against the Kenmore West Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lewiston-Porter has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Lewiston-Porter is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 19-12 margin over Lockport on Thursday. The Lancers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25th (when they won 14-0).

Scarlett Sloma was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Sloma was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alyssa Dashineau was a standout: she got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Gianna Venditti was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Lewiston-Porter hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.
Kenmore West hadn't beaten North Tonawanda on the road since June 15, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Blue Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lumberjacks, sneaking past 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.
Like Lewiston-Porter, Kenmore West also got a great game from a two-way player: Dani Hatch. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Hatch was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Foglia, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Lewiston-Porter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Kenmore West, their record is now 9-6.
