Meanwhile, Riverton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 55-49 to Syracuse. The Silverwolves were up 34-15 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Taylorsville will have to contain Maggie Hamblin as she made an impact in Riverton's last game. She shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Those 17 points gave Hamblin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Talbot, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points.
Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Taylorsville, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.
