Santa Cruz was led to victory by Kirby Seals and Demarco Hunter. Seals scored ten points along with five assists and five steals, while Hunter dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hunter pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Liam Jones, who scored four points.
San Luis Obispo has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Santa Cruz, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1.
