This week's postseason excitement didn't throw the rankings into complete disarray, but it did reorder the standings a decent amount. We'll tackle all that (plus a new number one team) in this week's report.
No Stoppin 'Em
92. That was the combined point total for Bellows Free Academy and Brattleboro when they went head to head last week, and it set the benchmark for all power ranking teams. Bellows Free Academy earned a pretty comfortable 55 - 37 victory over Brattleboro. The power rankings were completely indifferent to the match, so neither team moved up or down this week.
Movin on Up
Windsor claimed most-improved honors this week by climbing the power ranking ladder five rungs after its game against Mill River. Windsor breezed past Mill River with a final score of 38 - 6. The high-scoring offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Windsor's flat performance last game.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Rutland (3rd in the power rankings) and St. Johnsbury Academy (1st). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out which team fails to repeat its success.
