The Griffin Bears can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 61-24 victory over Howard. The victory was familiar territory for Griffin who now have four in a row.
Griffin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasey Smikes, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smikes has scored all season. Naima Foster was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Griffin is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Howard, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 14 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.
Griffin will face off against Spalding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Griffin is coming into the contest with six straight victories on the road, so Spalding is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Howard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
