The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wade Hampton, who took down 33rd ranked Spartanburg, 7-6.
Dorman extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region II this week by beating Boiling Springs, 24-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Cavaliers.
Byrnes's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Shuler Bentley threw for 406 and seven touchdowns and Greg McHam had 150 yards receiving. On the ground Evan Sudduth chipped in 84 yards. Akia Booker helped Byrnes' passing attack out by catching seven balls for 115 yards.
The Rebels' Bentley and Booker have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bentley has thrown for 3294 yards this season, while Booker, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 59 catches for 1128 yards. Hyleck Foster from Gaffney leads the league in rushing with 735 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Byrnes and Dorman. Chris Miller's team enters the game ranked third in the state, while David Gutshall's team ranks sixth.
Two of the top units in AAAA Region II will face off this week when the Rebels take on the Cavaliers. Byrnes' offense has racked up 348 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Dorman has allowed only 124 on the year.
