If the Fayetteville Wolves were riding high off their 52-22 takedown of the Isabella Mustangs last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fayetteville took a serious blow against Thorsby on Friday, falling 62-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fayetteville has scored all season.
Landon Thomas and Ethan Jones certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Thomas scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Jones scored six points. That's the first time this season that Thomas pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Fayetteville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Thorsby, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Fayetteville will head out on the road to square off against Talladega County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thorsby, Thorsby and Isabella will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Isabella is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
