Last Tuesday, Wayne Trace came up short against Jefferson and fell 43-32. Wayne Trace has not had much luck with Jefferson recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Antwerp posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Continental 56-23 at home. Given Antwerp's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Continental is ranked 740th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wayne Trace's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Antwerp, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-6.
Everything went Wayne Trace's way against Antwerp in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Wayne Trace made off with a 49-26 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wayne Trace since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
