Basketball Recap: Spring Creek Has No Trouble Against Rosewood

There's no place like home for Spring Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Rosewood Eagles 67-43 on Wednesday. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Gators this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brennan Chambers, who went 6 for 13 en route to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Chambers has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Nathan Jackson, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 18 points.

Chambers wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Spring Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Spring Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Rosewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Creek will venture away from home to square off against Eastern Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eastern Wayne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. Rosewood has already played their next game (against Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
