Baseball Recap: Oakbrook Prep's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside Christian Academy, Oakbrook Prep was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Berea Bulldogs by a score of 16-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Karter Revis was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Bryce Horton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Oakbrook Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berea only posted an OBP of .214.

With the win, Oakbrook Prep broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-3-1. As for Berea, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakbrook Prep will head out to square off against Blacksburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Berea, they will venture away from home to face off against Travelers Rest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
