Softball Recap: Ridgeline Has No Trouble Against Central Valley

Ridgeline barely beat Central Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Bears on Friday. Considering the Falcons have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Lilley Triplett, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Kadence Barcus also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ridgeline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.

Ridgeline's record now sits at 10-5. As for Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeline will square off against University at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Valley, they will face off against Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
