 Meanwhile, North Boone put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout  on Tuesday. They never let Rock Falls get on the board and left with  an   18-0  win. Considering the Vikings have won 14 games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 North Boone is  on a roll lately: they've  won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Byron, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
 Byron suffered a grim  8-2 defeat to North Boone  in their previous matchup  back in April. Can the Tigers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
