Baseball Recap: Ridge View Triumphs

Ridge View took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lawton-Bronson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raptors had just enough and edged out the Eagles 7-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raptors have posted since May 29th.

Ridge View has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lawton-Bronson, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ridge View didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove on the 20th. As for Lawton-Bronson, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-4 win against West Sioux on the 19th.
