Basketball Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Find Success

If Mohave Accelerated wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Glendale Prep Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Maddie Caspers. The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins came out on top against the Mohave Accelerated Patriots by a score of 56-43 on Tuesday thanks in part to Caspers, who went 9 for 14 on her way to 20 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. What's more, she also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Mohave Accelerated lost, don't look at Katie Farnell. Despite the final result, she went 11 of 18 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. Farnell has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Haley Leslie, who posted 12 points.

Glendale Prep Academy's record now sits at 4-5. As for Mohave Accelerated, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Glendale Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 81-13 victory against Highland Prep West on the 10th. As for Mohave Accelerated, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-29 win against Kingman Academy on the 9th.
