Sharyland is 1-9 against the Diamondbacks since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Sharyland Rattlers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pioneer Diamondbacks at 7:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Sharyland, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Pioneer was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-47 to the Sabercats. While losing is never fun, Pioneer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 628th, while the Sabercats are ranked 138th).
Pioneer might have lost, but man, Julian Valdez was a machine: he scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valdez has scored all season. Edward Chavez was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds.
Sharyland has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Pioneer, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-13.
Sharyland couldn't quite finish off the Diamondbacks when the teams last played back in January and fell 48-45. Will Sharyland have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
