After a string of seven wins, the Heirway Christian Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Heritage, falling 86-42. Heirway Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Barron Ofosu-kwarteng, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals. Ofosu-kwarteng is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Hall, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Heirway Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heirway Christian Academy will square off against New Faith Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will head out on the road to challenge Westfield School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westfield School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Heritage is ranked 22nd).
