Meanwhile, Mabank unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Kaufman by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, Mabank's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Hagen Tijernia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
The victory got Ford back to even at 8-8-2. As for Mabank, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
