The Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Floresville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Uvalde ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Pearsall out 11-9. The victory was just what Uvalde needed coming off of a 14-2 defeat in their prior matchup.

Meanwhile, Floresville made easy work of Pearsall on Friday and carried off a 9-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Floresville.
Nader Gulahumsein made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Gulahumsein was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Jacob Villarreal was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Uvalde's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs per game. As for Floresville, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-3.
